🌧️ Learn How To Use Rainwater

Register with the Pennsylvania Resources Council to get a tutorial on how to harvest rainwater from your roof, store it, and use it to irrigate your landscape on Wednesday, Aug. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Phipps Conservatory. Plus, learn how to practice watershed protection and reduce your contribution to sewer overflow, flooding, and polluted urban runoff. It’s $80 for the workshop and rain barrel; $20 for the workshop only.

📣 Call For Art

Casey Droege Cultural Productions and the Keystone Progress Education Fund are seeking art that creates a dialogue around democracy and the current political climate amid a local election year. The art should explore how democracy impacts censorship, reproductive justice, workers' rights, economic justice, and most importantly, what a healthy democracy should look like. The deadline to submit is Aug. 14; accepted art will be in an exhibition running September to October.
