It’s a new year, so that means lots of fresh food and drink news! Let’s catch you up on new openings, events, and mmm … more deliciousness in the ‘Burgh.

🥂 Indulge in
 Dry January
Learn about the process of brewing non-alcoholic beer and taste it for yourself with The Open Road at Bottlerocket Social Hall in Allentown this Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and benefit the Pink Boots Society of Pittsburgh.

❄️ Snowed-In Saturdays
Support small, independent businesses in Bloomfield and Garfield with this new collaboration series between White Whale Bookstore, Trace Brewing, and Two Frays Brewery. From now until April 1, get a coupon with a purchase and redeem it on Saturdays.

😋 Savor Sauce To-Go
I’m a big fan of the Korean food from Bae Bae’s Kitchen in Downtown, and now you can buy bottles of their incredible sauces: wasabi honey, spicy sesame, maple gochujang, soy garlic, and plum.

🥖 Mediterra Cafe Expands
The artisan bread shop and cafe is taking over the former B52 space in Lawrenceville and is now hiring.

🍔 Ah CRAPTEKA!
The best veggie burger event in town, CRAPTEKA, is back Jan. 20 through Feb. 5 at APTEKA in Bloomfield. This is one of my favorite pop ups of the year where the highly acclaimed Eastern European vegan restaurant dishes out homemade veggie burgers, fries, and sunflower seed ice cream shakes.
