🍎 Go Apple Picking
Grocery store apples simply don’t compare to farm-fresh, especially if you pick it yourself! Find interesting varieties at Soergel Orchards and Shenot Farm in Wexford, Simmons Farm in McMurray, and Triple B Farms in Monongahela.
Want someone else to do the picking? Head north to Mars Apple Fest on Oct. 7 for 150 vendors selling food, flowers, crafts, art, and bushels of apple products.

Grow Pittsburgh supports dozens of lots in the city — like Braddock Farms, which is celebrating its 6th annual Fall Festival on Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Shop from local vendors, and learn how to do fall crafts like wreath-making, apple cider pressing, and paper making.
