Pittsburghers love our professional sports teams, but you don't have to shell out hundreds of dollars and brave the traffic (and cold!) to catch a game at Acrisure Stadium or PPG Paints Arena. We rounded up some of our favorite spots to root for the black and gold, as well as a few fan watch parties for other teams around the region.
📍 Various locations
Primanti’s is arguably such a mainstay to watch Pittsburgh sports that it doesn’t even need to be on this list. We’re including it anyway, because it’s a more family-friendly option and offers convenience with its large number of locations. Plus, you get to eat a Pittsburgh staple crop (the OG sammie with fries) while rooting for the home team!
North
📍 North Shore
Tom’s has 80+ screens, living up to the motto "All the Sports, All the Time." This is a great option for a fan who wants to watch multiple games at once, especially for your fantasy teams.
📍 North Shore
This Irish-themed venue has tons of seats at its enormous U-shaped bar, so you’ll always be in view of a screen. Order up some classic pub grub and settle in for a game.
📍 North Shore
Mike’s is the perfect spot for beer lovers. With 80 taps and hundreds of canned options, there’s bound to be something to wet your whistle. They also have a wide selection of food, from bar classics to their steak on a stone.
📍 North Shore
I know, I know. A casino??! But Rivers has multiple bars, including the Wheel House and the Bet Rivers Sportsbook Lounge, which are both great for catching a game. Both feature massive screens and a variety of seating options like tables, booths, and even loungers (for an upcharge).
📍 North Shore
Craft beer is the focus, but don’t skimp on the food — we love their huge salads and bowls, and the veggie ciabatta handheld is truly divine. They also host special events like their Irish Brunch for the Steelers away game in Ireland on Sept. 28.

Downtown
Known for its 90 craft beers, spacious footprint, and large TVs, City Works is great for a game anytime, butttt we love that they serve Sunday brunch until 3 p.m. — the perfect option for a day game.
If you watch sports in Pittsburgh, you eventually end up at Redbeards — surrounded by enough Pittsburgh sports memorabilia to wonder if you’re in a museum. They offer beer specials during NFL games and a pre-Steelers breakfast buffet before every 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. home game.
East
📍 Lawrenceville
This was a Shadyside staple before taking over the former Franktuary spot in Lawrenceville. Old fans and newcomers alike will feel right at home with American pub fare (including $1 wings) and a friendly atmosphere.
📍 East Liberty
One of the city's newest spots, Title 9 is a haven for women’s sports, including powerhouse programs like Pitt volleyball. You may be able to corral a screen for men’s pro teams — if no one else is using it!
📍 Shadyside
Cappy’s is a classic, cozy, dive bar known for being a Steelers hub. It’s another great option for anyone craving breakfast, served until 2 p.m. on Sundays.
📍 Squirrel Hill
An excellent choice for watching the game in an eclectic dive with beer specials during big games. The pool tables are also a popular draw.
📍 Shaydside, Oakland, South Side
All three Mario’s locations are staples for catching black and gold games in Pittsburgh, offering classic pub grub, cocktails, and beer. But it’s not all local — the second floor of Mario's East Side Saloon becomes a sea of red and blue for the Buffalo Bills Backers.
📍Creighton
Iron City is an iconic Pittsburgh brand, and their new spot along the Allegheny River is the perfect venue for Steelers games. They say they have the largest screens outside Acrisure in Western PA, including a 24- by 14-foot TV in their upstairs taproom.
South
📍 South Side
Craft beer lovers in Pittsburgh are likely already familiar with Fat Head’s, but may not have thought to check them out for Steelers games. Look for classic taproom vibes with multiple TVs to catch the action while enjoying a local brew.
📍 Allentown
This darling of the Pittsburgh comedy scene also offers a unique venue for games. Think peak, retro Yinzer — wood paneling, a cardboard cutout of Terry Bradshaw, and a popcorn machine in the corner. The space previously served as a social club for St. George's Church, and today offers Steelers Bingo so you can play along with what happens on the field.
📍 Mt. Washington
Bigham Tavern is locally celebrated for their wings and has a very enthusiastic fanbase — they may rival the Steelers! For food-focused sports fans, look for the game day specials.

Suburbs
📍 Millvale & Sewickley
The wings!! Look for $10 Dozens on Sundays to pair with any of their dozens of sauces. Both locations have tons of TVs, and their Sewickley location also offers a projector, so you can see the action in an even bigger format.
📍 Wexford
Known for their Italian-inspired bar menu, Pomodoro offers pizza and wing buffets during every game. The kitchen also puts out surprise items from time to time! Their central location in Wexford offers easy access to I-79.
📍 Collier & Fox Chapel
Rival offers all the amenities you expect of a modern sports bar with an elevated menu in a family-friendly atmosphere. On favorable weather days, you can grab a seat on the patio without missing a second of the action.
📍 Harmarville
Even family-friendly venues can leave kids feeling bored. Zone 28 offers activities, including a large arcade, laser tag, escape rooms, and bowling to keep younger fans entertained. For the adults, they offer a well-equipped sports bar and an outdoor beer park with a large outdoor screen, so you can watch the game indoors or outdoors.
📍 Bellevue
If you’re rooting for the Browns, this is the place to go. During non-Browns games, they offer unique taco flavors like Philly steak or Buffalo chicken — a break from the normal bar food you may be used to.
