Whether you like to be scared to the bone or prefer just a little fall fright, there’s a Pittsburgh movie theater waiting for you.

Harris Theater

📍Downtown

Celebrate September's full moon with a double feature of iconic monster films, “The Wolf Man” and “Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man” on Sept. 30 at 7:30 p.m.

The Oaks Theater

📍Oakmont

Go classic with “Scream,” “Practical Magic,” and “Little Shop of Horrors,” or discover the ghostly scenes of the city with “Haunted Pittsburgh” — a telling of supernatural tales on Oct. 6 and 7.

Rangos Giant Cinema

📍North Side

Want to experience Halloween on the biggest screen in town? Head to the Carnegie Science Center’s theater for “Carrie” on Oct. 7, “Ghostbusters” on Oct. 14, “Hocus Pocus” on Oct. 21, or “Night of the Living Dead” on Oct. 28.

Row House Cinema

📍Lawrenceville

The annual Row House of Horrors event starts on Oct. 16 with showings of “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” “Suspiria,” “Halloween,” and “The Wicker Man.” Other movies, like “Mad God,” “Trick ‘r Treat,” and “Scream” will play until Oct. 24.

Hollywood Theater

📍Dormont

Step into an eerie mansion with the characters of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” on Saturdays at midnight. For a family-friendly outing, watch the 1993 classic “Hocus Pocus,” participate in a costume contest, and meet black rescue cats on Oct. 21. On Oct. 28, see a killer lineup of classic zombie films including “Night of the Living Dead,” “One Cut of the Dean,” and “Shaun of the Dead.” Plus, come dressed for a zombie walk and bring a donation for the Dormont Free Pantry!

Soldiers and Sailors Hall

📍Oakland

Are you a fan of “The Silence of the Lambs?” There’s a full day of festivities celebrating the Pittsburgh-filmed movie at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum on Oct. 27. See a replica cage and movie stills, take a selfie with Hannibal and Clarice re-enactors, and hear from the owner of Buffalo Bill’s house in Perryopolis. Vendors, face painters, tarot readers, and flash tattoos will be onsite. The movie starts at 7:30 p.m.

Dependable Drive In

📍Moon Township

Every year, the drive-in hosts “Spooktacular” with trunk-or-treating, pumpkin funnel cakes and hot apple cider, and a double feature for all ages. Check their website for updated details.
