Pittsburgh may be known for many things, but its tropical climate generally isn’t one of them. But don’t let that get you down! You can still bring the beach to the Burgh all around town. Here’s some of our picks for the best Tiki Drinks in the city:

Not many local spots can boast that they’re entire raison d’etre is tiki drinks, so realistically this list could just be Hidden Harbor’s menu and we’d call it a day. The beach themed Squirrel Hill joint specializes in all kinds of fun variants, but this one is especially refreshing and relaxing. Rum, banana, coconut and dark chocolate? It’s basically a boozy dessert in a glass.

Sometimes you just have to shut up and play the hits. While Tiki Lounge may remind some readers too much of a long night out on East Carson Street, the South Side bar has been a staple for a reason: people love their tiki drinks! Here, we’re sticking with the classic Zombie, a mix of Rum, orange juice, creme de almond, and sours. It’s a perfect refresher for a hot night of wandering.

Tina’s has quickly become one of the absolute go-to’s for Pittsburghers seeking a quality, affordable cocktail and a great night out. The Bloomfield spot has something for everyone, including multiple island drinks. This one is a complex, fruity drink from the early 1900s. It mixes gin, cherry, bauchant, benedictine, campari, lime, and angostura to create a sweet and vibrant drink.

We had to end with a spin on a classic, and what’s more classic than rum (from Maggie’s Farm x Hidden Harbor of course), pineapple, lime, and blue curacao? St. Clair Social themes all of their cocktails after Zodiac signs, and this is the official drink for Cancers. It’s fruity, tropical and fun, or in other words, everything you’d want out of a tiki drink. Get it before it’s gone!
