Fireworks, Comedy, Drag & Pampering

June is packed with fun in the sun: sport your colors at the Pirates Pride game on June 9, and stick around for a firework show; have a laugh at a queer variety comedy show, PRIDEBurgh, at Arcade Comedy Theater in Downtown; see Pittsburgh’s iconic drag concert series at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Millvale on June 24; or book your loved one a massage from Body Euphoria.

Support LGBTQ+ Businesses

Find homemade gifts from local markets like Craft and Drafts at East End Brewing in Larimer on June 11 or the Queer Craft Market at the Union Project in Highland Park on June 30. Need some inspiration? One of my favorite queer-owned businesses is Collarbone Jewelry.

Queer-Owned Consumables

Food and drink gifts are the best way to make your loved one’s heart (and belly) happy. Take them out to breakfast at Square Cafe in East Liberty or Pigeon Bagels in Squirrel Hill. For drinks, get the new Even Gayer light beer from Necromancer Brewing near Ross Township. Don’t skip dessert: Leona’s has every flavor ice cream sandwich you could ever want.
