🌱 Get Down With The Dirt

Friday: Awaken your senses with forest bathing in Frick Park. It’s not a fitness hike — just 90 minutes to slow down and take in the beauty. The program meets at Frick Environmental Center.

Saturday: Get your hands dirty at a community garden or park, like the shiitake log workshop at the Gardens of Millvale, the unveiling of the Seed Sharing Library at Garfield Community Farm, or tree planting at Girty’s Woods.

♻️ Clean Up Your Neighborhood

Friday: Join Allegheny Cleanways for the Litter League Opening Tournament at Etna Riverfront Park. The 6-week competition gives out prizes to players who meet trash-picking goals.

Any day: Don’t want to commit to the competition? You can always join the Pittsburgh Street Stewards and adopt a block in your neighborhood to “redd up.”

🌎 Party For The Planet

Saturday: Head to the Three Rivers Heritage & Water Trails in South Side Riverfront Park for trail-based activities, vendors, food, music, and more fun. If you’re a part of the 21+ crowd, go to Goodlander Cocktail Brewery in Larimer for The Refillery’s Earth Day Celebration with a brewery tour, food from El Colibri, live music by Sunny Daze & The Weathermen, and networking bingo.

All weekend: Learn the science behind transforming river water into clean drinking water at the Carnegie Science Center’s H2Oh! River Weekend. It’s free with general admission.
