Put a little spring in your step! The Equinox is March 20, and sunnier days are ahead. Here’s how to blossom in the Burgh all month long.

🍀 Rally for St. Patrick’s Day

Pittsburgh is known for its grand St. Patrick’s Day parade. Head Downtown March 15 to watch Irish step dancers, bands, and other marchers paint the town green. Or, start the party early with the St. Practice Day Pierogi Contest & Crawl for charity March 8; an Irish Cocktail Class at PA Market March 13; or a day of revelry at Pittsburgh Brewing Co.’s Irish City March 15.

⚜️ Have a Mardi Party

Celebrate Mardi Gras (or Fat Tuesday) with a local delicacy: paczki! Get one of these round, Polish pastries — then keep the sweet times rolling with a drink at Le Mardi Gras in Shadyside; live music at Allegheny City Brewing; or King Cake Gelato from Butterfat. And don’t miss Gumbo Fest at St. James AME Church in Larimer March 30.
