A Cookbook by and for Incarcerated People
The Pittsburgh-based food magazine Dinner Bell is selling a 67-page cookbook, “Not Your Average Noodle,” as “an act of service compiled by prisoners for the benefit of prisoners." For every copy purchased, one will also be donated to the Books to Prisoners program. [Dinner Bell]

Submissions Wanted: Yawp Magazine
The Poetry Lounge in Millvale is bringing back a small press, literary arts zine produced in the early 2000s called “yawp,” and you can submit your work. They’re looking for writing and black-and-white artwork. Submit yours during open mics on Tuesday or send something to yawp@poetryloungepgh.com.
Recycling Discount for City Residents
Thanks to a grant from the Clean Pittsburgh Commission, residents can get a $10 discount on their drop-off fee when participating in the city’s hard-to-recycle program this month. Drop off computers, televisions, cell phones, and other electronic waste at the Environmental Services facility in the Strip District on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
