The sun is shining and the food options this summer are sweet. The City Cast Pittsburgh team highlighted a few festivals on a recent podcast episode that you’ve got to put on your calendar for May and June. Here are a few of their favorites:
🗓️ May 11
📍 Hop Farm Brewing, Lawrenceville
Grab delicious baked goods and sip some much-needed coffee from local spots, including Brown Bear Bread Cafe (try the English muffins!), Grim Wizard Coffee, and more, while shopping for plants from the Greenhouse Co-op.
🗓️ May 12-18
📍 Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Oakland
Enjoy a robust menu of Greek food, such as moussaka and spanakopita, before dancing the night away to live music.

Sample over 30 kinds of gooey, creamy, cheesy, and delicious mac and cheese dishes. There will also be PA wine and spirit samples, plus cocktail options inside the Bloody Mary and Mimosa Pavillion. Tickets start at $45, and they’re expected to sell out!
🗓️ May 31
📍 Shadyside Presbyterian Church
This benefit festival will feature freshly sliced strawberries over ice cream and shortcakes, as well as grilled hot dogs, chips, and baked goods. Look for outdoor games, balloon sculptures for the kiddos, and music.
