Pittsburgh loves its food and drink festivals. Last week, I shared these tasty celebrations; here are five more to put on your calendar:
🍻North Hill Home Brew Fest
The Pittsburgh Shrine Center in Cheswick is hosting the annual homebrewers battle this Saturday starting at 5 p.m. with a VIP private tasting and judging; general admission is 6 p.m. The winner will get their recipe produced at Penn Brewery. Tickets are $5-45.
☀️Spirit Summer Recess Food & Music Festival
Indie music lovers and local foodies can fill up on fun at Spirit in Lawrenceville on Sept. 9. The all-ages daytime party is 2 p.m. - 9 p.m., and the 21+ afterparty is 9 p.m. - 2 a.m. Come hungry for vendors like Spirit Wood Fired Pizza, Caffe D' Amore, Pittsburgh Taco Boys, The Fat Butcher, Pure Grub, Piebird, Scratch & Co., and Sultan Doner Gyro. Tickets are $5-20.
🥕 VOktoberfest
Didn’t make it to VegFest this year? Find vegan eats at Velum Fermentation in the South Side on Sept. 16, plus beer, music, live music and dance, skeeball competition, and Halloween-themed art. It’s free!
🥨 Oktoberfest
Pittsburgh Brewing is hosting its first annual Oktoberfest from 3 to 8 p.m. Sept. 30 in Creighton. The celebration will have live music from Barons and Polka Meisters, German food, limited release lagers, merch, and more. Tickets are $25.
☕ Pittsburgh Coffee Week
Oct. 15-21 will be a weeklong celebration uniting "professionals, coffee enthusiasts, local businesses, and communities" with events and drink specials. It’s all thanks to a sponsorship from La Marzocco and Oatly. Stay tuned for more details.
