Pittsburgh is full of fun summer activities, from catching a Buccos game to grabbing a sundae from Page's Dairy Mart. (Any other root beer flavor fans out there?) We asked you to share what’s on your summer bucket list and the answers did not disappoint!

Your Guide to July in Pittsburgh

🏊 Take a Dip

Whether you’re hitting up Bloomfield Beach (the ultimate spot to see and be seen) or relaxing in Riverview Park, many of you plan to spend the summer poolside, including Carolyn M., and Grace W., Alex W., and Stacy R.

Need some help figuring out which city pool is the perfect spot to unfurl your towel? Pool enthusiast Jill Terner ranked them on the City Cast Pittsburgh podcast based on an extremely detailed rubric.

🎶 Catch a Show

Summer in Pittsburgh means free concert series and film screenings in our beautiful parks, something Adam D. and E. Amoroso both put on their bucket lists.

Spend your Saturday nights enjoying live rock and local brews at Grandview Park or pack a brunch spread and listen to classical music on Sunday mornings in Mellon Park. If you’re more of a cinefile, set up a blanket or lawn chair, wait for the sun to go down, and watch a movie on a big (outdoor) screen.

🚲 Explore by Bike

Embrace the sweatiness of the season and get out on two wheels. Summer isn’t complete for Alex T. without a ride along the Eliza Furnace Trail, and Emma K. plans to bike to the Bloomfield Farmers Market, where City Cast Pittsburgh producer Sophia Lo recommends cooling off with an aqua fresca from El Colibri.

In the market for a new bike? We rounded up the best bike shops in the city.

💡Need more to do in July? We’ve got you covered.
